Our Approach: Decision by Design

At Ludic we use design thinking to collaboratively develop high quality solutions with our clients to help them navigate complexity and secure sustainable futures. We call our research and design-led approach, Decision by Design.

From graphic designers to architects and product designers to sculptors, designers share a unique way of thinking. Recent research shows that when design thinking is applied, organisations are able to accelerate problem solving, transform strategy and unleash innovation.

Design Thinking is a practical and creative toolkit for decision making. Its flexible and collaborative processes transform systems and organisations into sustainable structures that meet the expectations of their stakeholders.

This is an all-inclusive process which transforms by enabling stakeholders to be involved in strategic decision making, development and implementation.

Working with researchers and academics, our programmes are grounded in research and analysis to provide high quality, fact based content. Using design processes such as rapid prototyping, iteration and scenario testing, our designers and producers facilitate small and large teams to co-create sustainable outcomes.

Learn

Our work begins with initial analysis and research to fully understand the context and content of the challenge. The outcome of this phase is a clear statement of objectives, outcomes and questions to be addressed, qualitative and quantitative research studies and programme plans.

Create

We understand that effective organisations are also learning systems.  Our clients realise their objectives and outcomes through custom-designed programmes of work that are based on proven creative processes.  Clients work with us to create new strategies, align stakeholders, share knowledge and much more.

Communicate

We believe that people engage in solutions they have built themselves. This is why we actively design with our clients to develop transformational communication artefacts.  These range from publications to communication events and productions to web based tools.  Embedded in all of our programmes are multimedia communications to provide a variety of learning tools and experiences.
