Design Research can offer new perspectives and help bring about innovation to a business, service or product. The design process invokes broad thinking followed by informed decision-making, i.e. researching wide to find interesting aspects of a topic and then choosing a direction to follow through to the next phase.
This is a resolving process, with each choice further defining the end design. Having foundations and a narrative based on actual human-centred needs, the results obtained by a design-led process are a more sustainable and well-received final product.
